UPDATE: Boy, this was a little harsh! I've toned it down some to help keep things civil in the comments. Thanks everybody for your help this weekend and your support of Take the Lake and Columbus County fitness!
On the results listings, we have names for people who preregistered early, before August 23. If you registered after that or onsite, chances are only your bib number and time appear. Some people registered early, but by the time they checked in, things were so confusing with the new insurance waivers, and we were so frantic, we just gave them new bib numbers. The Take the Lake staff is entirely volunteer. We are not a tax-paid Parks and Rec Department. This past month we have worked hundreds of hours and struggled through challenges of finding a new insurance policy, dealing with affects of a hurricane and working with a new timing system. Someone could read the hundreds of scribbled names we received at registration and type them into a computer to try to fix this problem, but realistically, we may just remove all names from the lists and leave only bib numbers and times. We emphasize Take the Lake as a Personal Endurance Challenge and not a race. In fact, we post times mostly for personal use, and we don't emphasize top finishers. Everyone gets a JAMA or Lee J. Greer coin and a lot of satisfaction just for finishing! Join in the TTL training fun, and leave a comment!
