By now you have heard of Take the Lake, an
expansion of a treasured Columbus County tradition at one of its most
beautiful natural resources. We are optimistic that this event will grow
to be an important and popular feature of life in Columbus County.
In many ways, rural Americans face a formidable battle against obesity and related diseases, and we believe that projects like Take the Lake will give our residents a fighting chance.
