                                                • Experience: TTL, 2009, 2010, Labor Day Swims (2 prior – 1992, 2003), longest other running events 10k.
                                                • Why you signed up for TTL-X!:  (See Edmund Hillary) I thought it would give me more time to help out with the administration of TTL on the day of the event instead of competing.  Most important: a fun and worthwhile healthy community event in which the purpose to stay exercise-engaged all year long.
                                                • How well you think you'll do: The goal is to finish – Looking at under 12 hours.

                                                • Experience: Many events from century cycling, sprint to Iron distance tri’s, trail to marathon distance runs. The truth is “I'm not good at any of them! I just like doing them because, at almost 50 (few months - ha) I still can”. I love the camaraderie of the tribe who participate in these events. I have not found a more positive encouraging or interesting group of people. For me it’s not about winning or finishing, it’s overcoming the point where you think you can’t go anymore.

                                                • How well you think you'll do: The Kayak will be my demise, I took lessons Saturday.. it’s more difficult than I thought!!!

                                                • Experience: Have run about 85 marathons since starting in 1990. Not many triathlons, as I am not a strong swimmer. Ran the Boston Marathon this year.
                                                • Why you signed up for TTL-X!: We participated in Take the Lake Walk/Run, Bike & Hike and Paddle last year, met some old friends who convinced us to swim, and this sounded like a great plan.
                                                • How well you think you'll do: My dream is to swim 4.5 hrs, bike 1.5 hrs, kayak 3 hrs, and run/walk 3 hrs for a total of 12 hours.

                                                • Why you signed up for TTL-X!:  Really? To be able to participate in these cool events and also organize them. Now, Brett and I do TTL-X! a week before the others, so we can organize TTL-X! too. Crazy, i know.
                                                • How well you think you'll do: I did better this year than last. Didn't cry at all this time.

                                                • How well you think you'll do: The term "In it to win it" does not apply to me. I plan on surviving.

                                                • Experience: Numerous 5K, 8K & 10Ks, two sprint triathalons at Wrightsville Beach with Columbus Regional Healthcare System. Completed the Labor Day Swim at 16 (no practice), at 40 (some practice) and at 50 (more practice!)  TTL Cycle, Paddle & Run in 2009.  All four TTL PECs In 2010.
                                                • Why you signed up for TTL-X!: It just seemed like a natural progression. I like to exercise for my overall health and well-being, and having a goal like TTL or TTL-X is a good way to stay motivated.  Also, I wanted to sponsor the refreshment tent at the end of the TTL walk/run.  In order to be there for that, and to take part in TTL, I had to do the Extreme. 
                                                • How well you think you'll do: My goal is to finish and be alive to talk about it.
