![]() With 19 solo competitors and six teams, the Take the Lake X-TREME! competition has about doubled from last year. Two competitors completed their PECs last weekend, so 23 entries are ready to hit the streets and water tomorrow morning at 6. Most of the action will take place around Dale's Restaurant, where cyclists, paddlers, swimmers and runners will start and finish. The number of teams has doubled, with most choosing a "Gang Start." Five cyclists, five paddlers and five runners will all roll, float and run from the public beach at 8 a.m. The teams' swimmers will have started two hours earlier with the solo swimmers. The one team running in a relay has only two members and cannot Gang Start. Scouts are needed around the lake to report competitors' progress so they can be tracked on the event's 48-foot long leader board that will be on display at the beach area. Residents interested can find information from Mark Gilchrist at Dale's. Join in the TTL training fun, and leave a comment!
