A Take the Lake Charter Family, the klan around Jackson and Janet Gore of Whiteville and Lake Waccamaw have participated in Take the Lake since the pilot event in 2008, and have been avid supporters since. The Gores have helped design and establish Take the Lake X-TREME!, which attracted 12 participants this Labor Day weekend. They were also instrumental in the mile marker project around the lake in 2010. ![]() This year, they invited their extended family and friends to join Team Gore and help design a new team concept and roster banner that may be available to interested groups in the future. With the team banner, groups of families, churches, or other organizations -- either tightly or loosely "knit" -- may form informal teams to rally support, share experiences and build fellowship. Thanks, Team Gore! Join in the TTL training fun, and leave a comment!
