The 2011 X-TREME! trophy
Standing about 7 inches tall, the handcrafted 2011 Take the Lake X-TREME! award is formed from a solid block of Southern yellow pine reclaimed from a 55-year-old civic club building in Whiteville.

The award proudly displays the three John A. McNeill Awards for the Take the Lake Walk / Run, Paddle and Bike & Hike Personal Endurance Challenges, as well as the Lee J. Greer gold coin award from Colliers Jewelers, which is awarded to successful participants of the swim PEC.

Featured on the top of this award is a special JAMA made for the X-TREME! event. On the back is the obverse of the JAMA, honoring its namesake, John McNeill of Lake Waccamaw.
