Race organizers needed
Julie Strickland, left, with Columbus County Parks and Recreation and Beth Brown of Healthy Carolinians have developed a WALK kit that organizers can borrow for free to help them include fitness activities in their events.
Healthy Carolinians is offering a special kit it hopes will help make Carolinians healthier right here in Columbus County.
In a joint project with Take the Lake and Columbus County Parks and Recreation, the group bought items needed to organize a footrace or any type of fitness or athletic event.
The Walk Activity Loaner Kit, or W.A.L.K. will be available for free to organizers of festivals or other
